If you do your basics right, you are just on the verge of exploring the world of garment construction and apparel design. At Usha Silai School, we teach our students with all care and diligence. It would be best if you went through with a proper sequence of learnings to strengthen your basic foundation and understanding. Cutting and tailoring are basic foundations of modern fashion design and apparel design courses. Even if you enrol on our Fashion Designing course, tailoring classes will be an indispensable part of your curriculum.What do You Learn at USHA Silai School?
The sky is the limit in the world of sewing. It starts with a basic course called Sewing and Designing. Anyone who does not even know how to thread a needle or tie a knot can join this tailoring course. This course is also useful for experienced tailors because it has advanced men’s and women’s dresses like Nehru Kurta to Bengali Kurta and Pipin Blouse to Collar Blouse. The learning starts with a pillow cover, cushion cover, Umbrella frock, brief, six-panel petticoat, etc. Once you have become a bit more confident, you will start making advanced women’s dresses like Nighty, Kameez, Salwar with belts, Plain Blouse, Churidar Kameez, Churidar With Belts, House coats, Collar Blouse etc. As you progress to the end of the course, you will learn more designer patterns and become a confident tailor. You will get a certificate from Usha Silai School at the end of the course.
The next course offered to you is a Hobby course in Indian garment design. This course is an intermediate-level course. It is based on Women’s wear. Here, we start with A-line cut frock, Penny Frock, and Petticoat, and then we move on to designer items with a simple plain blouse. Slowly, you will master the Princess cut blouse, Yoke blouse, High neck blouse, Raglan blouse, Choli cut blouse, Bra Cut blouse, and Piping blouse. We will then turn your focus to Kurti Cutting and Stitching. You will learn Plain kameez, Princess line kameez, A- Line kameez, Angrakha kameez, Multi panel kameez, Anarkali kameez, Kalidar kameez. You also learn plain salwar, churidar, Patiala salwar, and love pants. At the end of the course, you will get the certificate.
